Since winning the Parkhouse Award in February 1993 the Bartholdy Trio have been awarded grants by Société Générale for study with Menahem Pressler in Canada, the Association Francaise d’Action Artistique for study in Jerusalem with Isaac Stern, Yo Yo Ma and Emmanel Ax and by Sasakawa Foundation for the purchase of a violin.

The Bartholdy Trio’s first performance under the auspices of The Parkhouse Award, in April 1993, was praised for its “display of virtuosity from all three players as well as an almost theatrical intimacy” (The Strad Magazine). Since then they have won the Premier Grand Prix au Concours du Forum Musical International en Normandie which provides them with recital and orchestral opportunities in the region of Haute-Normandie. Their final performance for The Parkhouse Award will be at the Wigmore Hall on Tuesday 5th November.
