Visit Shaldon and the South West
The ideal place to get away from it all, whether for a short break or family holiday, Shaldon is an idyllic little fishing village situated at the mouth of the Teign estuary on the edge of Torbay, the English Riviera, and inland to Dartmoor. It is sheltered from the sea by the Ness, the imposing red sandstone headland that has been a welcome landmark for centuries of sailors. There is a wide range of holiday accommodation – from camping and caravanning to apartments and cottages, guest houses and hotels, and exclusive self contained beach huts. The village has several local pubs, cafes and restaurants and a range of independent shops. If you want to be on the water, it’s a great place for sailing, rowing, canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, power boating and fishing. A great base from which to explore more of Devon and all it has to offer.
