Sunday brings a return visit by one of the country’s foremost chamber ensembles, the Academy of St Martin in the Fields Chamber Ensemble. They previously performed at the 2001 Festival and, as a result of the popularity of that memorable occasion, we have invited them back for this year’s finale.

Raphael Wallfisch, an outstanding cellist and master of interpretation gives his own unique performance of four of JS Bach’s Suites for Unaccompanied Cello.

Earlier in the day he conducted a masterclass, passing on his insights to aspiring young musicians Rebecca Herman, Asha McCarthy and Lucy Railton.
