Joshua Fisher. Presented on BBC Radio Three as a winner of the Young Artist Forum in 1994, Joshua Fisher has since appeared in the major concert halls throughout the UK. He has performed the violin solo in Schnittke’s Concerto Grosso No.4 in the Royal Festival Hall, as well as Beethoven’s Triple Concerto with the Philharmonia Orchestra at St John‘s Smith Square. He has also given concerts as violin/director and soloist with the Northern Sinfonia and toured Italy, Spain and France performing concertos and chamber music recitals.
Joshua has broadcast live on Classic FM, Gibraltar Radio & Television and BBC Radio Three. He has also appeared in recitals and concertos with Rodney Friend and Vasco Vasilev and led orchestras under the batons of Lord Menuhin and Mstislav Rostropovich.
Joshua studied with Felix Andrievsky and Rodney Friend at the Royal College of Music and graduated with a DipRCM Performers First Class. He was a recipient of many prizes and nominated awards, and as a postgraduate received generous financial assistance from the Countess of Munster Musical Trust, performing numerous concertos and recitals as part of their concert scheme.
Sebastian Millett enjoys a fine reputation as a concert cellist. His talent was recognized at the Royal College of Music where he won one of the most prestigious competitions, the Anthony Saltmarsh Prize. Consequently he gained a scholarship enabling him to continue his studies with the internationally renowned cellist, Eileen Croxford.
His busy schedule includes solo broadcasts, recitals and concertos across the UK and Europe. A memorable occasion was a performance of chamber works with Mitislav Rostropovich in the presence of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother and also a recital for the British Embassy in Berlin. In addition to his solo career, Sebastian is a frequent guest artist with chamber groups such as the Bingham String Quartet and, when time permits, enjoys playing and touring with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.

In 1995 the Shaldon Festival Committee commissioned Antony le Fleming to compose a work especially for the Festival. Thus Cantate Domino came into being, a work requiring an eight part chorus and based on Psalm 98. The English Mozart Singers formed one choir and Eric Yeo invited members of local choirs, and interested singers, to form the second choir which became The Festival Chorus. Rehearsals took place over four Thursdays preceding the concert, on Friday July 28th open to the public as a workshop and on the Saturday afternoon of the concert.

These young finalists have gone on to establish successful careers in classical music.
As one of the finest violinists of her generation Helena Wood is in great demand as a soloist, chamber musician, leader and director.
Helena began playing the violin at the age of three. She attended the Royal College of Music in London as a scholar from the age of 8 studying under Professor Pamela Spofforth and Professor Itzhak Rashkovsky and graduated in 2001 with a first class Honours degree. Helena later studied in New York with Professor Joey Corpus.
Making her debut as a soloist at the age of twelve with the Mendelssohn concerto, Helena has been received with great acclaim as a soloist and chamber musician. She performs chamber music regularly with musicians such as John Lill, Freddy Kempf, Finghin Collins and Nigel Kennedy and her international tours as a soloist include concerts in Israel, Romania, France and Switzerland, as well as tours of Italy and Spain. Helena has given numerous recitals at the Wigmore Hall, Purcell Room and the Royal Festival Hall and has performed many concertos at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, the Barbican Hall and St Martin-in-the-Fields. Helena frequently appears as a soloist on live television and radio in the UK.
Helena is also in great demand as an orchestral leader and director. She frequently guest leads many of Europe’s leading orchestras such as the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, Iceland Symphony Orchestra, RTE National Symphony Orchestra and Scottish Chamber Orchestra. Most recently she has been invited to lead the BBC Symphony Orchestra, Cape Town Opera and Opera Australia. Helena is currently the Principal Violin of English National Opera.
Alison Farr is described by critics as a virtuoso pianist of innate sensitivity and poetic insight. She performs regularly throughout the British Isles. As soloist and chamber musician, she has performed at prestigious venues including Wigmore Hall, Cadogan Hall, Purcell Room, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Fairfield Halls Croydon and St Georges Hall Bristol. Abroad she has performed in Moscow, Paris, the Gulf States and Israel and is a regular guest recitalist on board P&O and Cunard cruise ships.
Katherine Jenkinson(Cello) was born in 1980 in Derbyshire where she began to play the cello at the age of five. Three years later she was accepted as the youngest ever pupil to be taken on by the cellist and teacher, Florence Hooton.
Katherine takes a keen interest in contemporary music, which has led her to work closely with composers such as Arvo Pärt. She is a member of the London Contemporary Music Group, and performs with ensembles such as the London Sinfonietta and Birmingham Contemporary Music Group.
Katherine has performed as soloist throughout Europe, in Africa and Asia. She gave her Wigmore Hall debut in 2004 and has since returned there three times. In the last few years Katherine has performed concerti by Dvorák, Saints-Saëns, Elgar, Haydn, Schumann, Shostakovich, Lalo, Tchaikovsky, Vivaldi and Beethoven (Triple Concerto).
